Golf Researcher with German
at PromoLingua in Woking, Surrey
Our client has a strong heritage within the sport of golf in Europe. They are a fully functional market research company, which specialises in researching sport. They are currently seeking a graduate to work within the Golf Department.
The position involves the collection and preparation of data from an international base of clients and bodies in France, Germany and Sweden. The role also includes managing the relationship with these clients and developing the panel of data-providers. By working with colleagues within the department, the timely production of sales reports on the golf markets in these countries will be achieved.
The role will involve significant client contact together with the opportunity to attend exhibitions and travel to clients in the UK and Europe, and will hence include planning of workloads, liaison with clients, report writing and production, and delivery against an agreed timescale.
There will also be opportunity to work on additional ad hoc projects in the department, including the Golf Tourism Monitors, which will include further client contact and relationship development.
Structure:
The position reports to the Retail Audit Manager, and is part of a team of ten Golf Researchers. The position will have significant exposure to both the Head of Golf Research and the Research Director.
Skills required:
· Excellent attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Advanced IT skills focused on Microsoft Office incl. Access, Excel
· Strong planning and work-load prioritisation skills
· Written and spoken German languages (French would be an advantage)
· Knowledge of the Golf Industry an advantage
