Accounts Technician / Cost Analyst
Foyle Meats, Derry, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Technician / Cost Analyst to take responsibility for their daily production costing reports and weekly periodic variance analysis reports. The Accounts Technician will be required to prepare and post general ledger journals on a period basis with a view to taking accounts to a trial balance stage for review by the site accountant.
As the Accounts Technician / Cost Analyst your duties will include….
• Calculating and monitoring the production cost of the site on a daily basis
• Production of reports for the Managing Director and Financial Controller
• Monitoring and reviewing production costs
• Bank reconciliation
• VAT Reconciliation

What skills, qualifications and experience would the ideal candidate for the position of Accounts Technician / Cost Analyst possess…..
• Relevant third level qualification or recognised equivalent
• Part qualified Accounts Technician or appropriate experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
Are there any ‘desirable’ criteria for the role of Accounts Technician / Cost Analyst….
• 2 years working in a similar role
• Fully qualified Accounts Technician
• 5 years working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
