Fund Accountant – Guernsey – Offshore Fund Accounting Job

This foremost private equity fund manager, headquartered in Guernsey, but with a full global presence, is looking to add an experienced Fund Accountant. At present the majority of the equity funds under management are offshore funds with activities in buy-outs as well as mezzanine finance. This is a business critical, yet well paid job.
You core duties will be the accurate calculation of the NAV and the preparation of a complete set of complex fund accounts to UK GAAP or IFRS. You will be asked to attend accounting-related client meetings, internally and often externally alongside the fund management team. You will need to prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with all the expected supporting documentation. You can on occasion expect to have to review and approve annual and periodic accounts, prepared by other members of the offshore finance team. Finally it will be you responsibility as Fund Accountant to ensure that accounts are signed off within client, statutory and regulatory deadlines.
This Fund Accountant job would suit an accountant holding either ACCA or the ACA qualification and with up to 3 years PQE, preferably in fund accounting. Experience of working in an offshore finance environment would be beneficial. Likewise additional languages, especially German or French, would be welcomed.
