Support Technician
at Shortcuts Software in Sale, Cheshire, United Kingdom
We’re looking for someone to work on the first line support desk in Sale with 6 other support technicians, answering callers’ questions about the usage of the in-house Point of Sale software and investigating anomalies, issues and finding bugs. The candidate will also be expected to provide training on the software to both our clients and internal Shortcuts staff where necessary.
Good general computer knowledge is essential and experience on a helpdesk preferable. The candidate will have basic experience using SQL databases and a basic level of TSQL scripting, as this is the underlying technology beneath the current version of our Shortcuts software.
As the main industry that we deal with is the hair and beauty industry, certain personality traits are essential – many of our clients are quite bubbly and enthusiastic and the same is expected from our support technicians.
Working hours are 5 days a week including one in five weekends (working Saturday and Sunday, with Monday and Friday of the following week off) and the UK support desk operates various shifts from 08:00 – 16:30 to 09:30 – 18:00.
