Junior IT Support Engineer / Data Processing Clerk.
Opportunity to join a leading Debt Collection Company based in Weybridge, Surrey as a Junior IT Support Engineer / Data Processing Clerk.
This role will involve the day to day support of Microsoft Windows 2003 Servers and XP Clients and network infrastructure including the telephone phone system across our 3 sites (Weybridge, Woking and Tolworth) a substantial amount of time will be spent on data processing duties.
These skills are ESSENTIAL to the role:
- Knowledge of Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory administration
- Excellent knowledge of Windows XP Pro and Office 2003
- Good understanding of network principles and troubleshooting (VPN, Webmail, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of server and desktop hardware
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent knowledge of Files types (ie CSV, Fixed Width)
- Excellent knowledge of Files, Folders and Directory Structures
This role offers the opportunity to work within a friendly team and within a growing company offering career prospects. Hours are 9am to 5:30pm and based at Weybridge (Occasional working at either Woking or Tolworth as and when required). You will be required to cover the 24/7 helpdesk on a rota basis.
You must have EXCELLENT communication skills (for email and telephone support).
You would ideally live somewhere within easy reach of the above locations.
Additional skills that are an advantage also include:
- Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, printers
- Knowledge of Trend Antivirus protection
- Exchange Server 2003 / Outlook 2003 maintenance and administration
- Knowledge of Backup, Restore and DR procedures
