Our Client Donegal Meat Processors are recruiting for a Production Manager who will be responsible for the management of all aspects of production operations within the strategy and general policies as instructed by the site General Manager on behalf of the site Managing Director. It will be your responsibility to manage staff and production facilities efficiently and effectively, in order to assist in the achievement of the various objectives and goals as proscribed by the FFG Executive Board.

Donegal Meat Processors (DMP) operates out of a fully integrated, ultra-modern slaughter and de-boning facility, and processes in the region of 1500 cattle per week. Based on the banks of the river Foyle, in Ireland’s beautiful North West region of Donegal, DMP was opened in 1989 and currently employs approximately 230 employees.

As the successful applicant you will be required to………

• You will manage all key elements of the Production management team.

• You will be responsible for communicating production targets throughout the site.

• You will be responsible for assisting in the development of production facilities identifying areas for improvement and investment to enhance efficiencies on site.

• You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, management and communication of all aspects of relevant legislation.

• You will manage site production facilities effectively and efficiently through the use of KPI’s.

• Your objective will be to achieve and maintain “Green” status in all areas measured within your control.

• You will ensure that production is managed in order to fulfill production targets and objectives on a daily basis.

• You will represent the company in a professional manner when liaising with, relevant stakeholders, customers, union representatives and any other external or statutory bodies.

• You will manage and maintain the Health, Safety and well-being of all employees within the production facility and visitors to the areas.

• You will be required to liaise with the site H&S Manager in order to develop suitable H&S controls in line with FFG H&S policies.

• You will deputize for the General Manager in the event that he / she is not present on site.

• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, including Company Health & Safety Policy and Equal Opportunities Policy.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties and may be added to or deleted from as required to meet the changing needs of the business.

30000 – 40000 Euros per annum dependant on experience
