Our Client Linergy are currently recruiting for an Environmental / Health and Safety Officer whose primary function will be to make sure risks in the workplace are properly controlled. The successful candidate will ensure we comply with all aspects of health and safety laws.

Linergy is a new waste to energy plant based on thermal processing of animal by-products, based at Granville Industrial Estate Dungannon.



We want to hear from people with the following skills, experience and qualifications…..

• Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline
• NEBOSH OR ROSPA qualification would be advantage or be willing to obtain
• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills
• Dynamic, highly motivated and ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to prepare detailed information accurately and work to strict deadlines
• Computer literate


The main duties of this role…..

• Responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of environmental and health and safety project-related disciplines
• Maintenance of our IPPC permit requirements to ensure compliance with IPPC regulations
• Implement associated projects, procedures and policies, with regard to the above and in tandem with the Environmental Management System
• Responsible for providing advise and guidance to the company and its managers
• Monitor the company’s operations, processes and procedures to ensure that they comply with relevant regulations.
• Carry out site safety inspections and site risk assessments


Applicants should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate good planning and organising skills; both as part of a team and on their own initiative.
