Candidate requirements
We are looking for a Digital Director to work for a rapidly growing new start up in Knightsbridge. The Digital Director will be accountable for launching a new and exciting web site in the health sector that is targeted towards a youth audience.
The Digital Director will drive and shape the online project from start to finish – from briefing an external agency, negotiating contracts, project manage the build and development from IA through to Content delivery. The Digital Director will also be accountable for managing the online marketing strategy, including SEO and SMS Marketing.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in the digital arena and will have a proven track record of launching sites, as well as a clear understanding of driving online revenue. Whilst not essential, the ideal candidate will have experience in Social Networks, the creation of animated environments and experience in either/ both the healthcare and youth market.
Requirements:
• Real passion for web based communications
• Strong background and significant experience in web based publishing, most likely from a content or marketing perspective
• Experience with various projects types, including web, mobile, search, video, brand, and strategic consulting
• Ability to predict the development of future web technologies and share with the senior team.
• Deep understanding of project management, work flow and infrastructure is essential
• An insatiable curiosity with regards to web developments from technology players, online media companies and futurologists.
• The ability to develop web frameworks that allow for agile innovation but not chaos
• An understanding of both the high traffic and high value business models
• A keen sense of how to maximize the value of data on line through development of content sets and the use of online tools
• A keen sense of where the 'money' is online, and how to grow online advertising budgets/ revenues
• A clear vision of how to maximize content usage across the digital platform
• Clear understanding of best practice in managing IT projects
• Have a real ‘can do’ attitude and be able to motivate other team members to feel engaged by all of the online aspects of the business
