POSITION:
Business Development Manager/Account Manager
Starting salary at around 24,000 - 27,000 GBP basic, negotiable (dependent on experience) plus bonus and benefits

OVERVIEW - WHAT WE DO:
IFR Monitoring are experts in Market Analysis, including \'Shelf Share\', in-store promotions, in-print promotions, internet/media tracking and B2B tracking. Considering the constant shortening of the product shelf life and life cycle, and rapidly changing consumer preferences, there is a need for a fast information system to aid manufacturers and retailers in evaluation and analysis of market trends, pricing, product life cycles etc. IFR tools present a complete reflection of the market offer as seen in the eyes of the consumer.

THE ROLE:
The purpose of the appointment is to maximise sales of all IFR products and services through manufacturers and retailers in the Nordic Region, to meet and exceed targets set and ensure all company procedures are followed. As well as bring on new accounts the successful candidate will also be working with existing clients looking for up sell opportunities and making sure that yearly contracts are renewed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create a market appraisal and sales plan outlining potential target prospects for the Nordic region (Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland)
2. Proactive outbound calling and emails to engage prospective clients in generating new opportunities.
3. Prepare and issue proposals and follow through to sign a new contract/handover to the operations division.
4. Attend meetings with prospective clients when it is judged that the opportunity warrants the time and expense.
5. From time to time to attend conferences, exhibitions, seminars and workshops and in so doing to network effectively and make new contacts.
6. Provision of feedback on market requirements and ideas for improving sales and product performance.

THE CANDIDATE:
The candidate will have a strong track record in a research/B2B sales environment, with a proven ability to meet demanding targets. The candidate will be able to position themselves to clients as an Expert/Consultant on the marketplace with requisite knowledge and expertise to support this. Good communication skills, to build and sustain long term relationships with clients based on a win win approach. Knowledge of either research or the electrical manufactures/retail industry would put the candidate in a strong position. Proficient/Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft office product suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). English language is a must. The knowledge of a Nordic language would be a bonus.
