Systems Safety Business Development Leader & Systems Safety Consultant
Are you looking for a new challenge then this might just be what you’re looking for!
Two rare opportunities have arisen within an established and highly credible Engineering consultancy.
Successful candidates will have a strong system safety background and will be required to deliver a wide range of services which encompass all aspects of the safety life cycle.
You will also be required to demonstrate project management and/or new business development experience. You must have a proven experience in the successful delivery of rail projects in one or more of the following system safety engineering disciplines:
Independent safety assessments and audits (functional and process) - Software assurance activities - Hazard identification and risk analysis - Hazard log development and management - Safety management systems development and implementation.
Working within a team oriented environment all candidates will have: -
A degree in a relevant system and or engineering subject - A wide range of professional engineering practices and have proven experience in the rail industry including:
A working knowledge and experience complying with sector based standards and guidelines including The Yellow Book.
The ability to complete tasks to time and budget in accordance with agreed client specifications
The ability to produce high quality technical and progress reports
Supporting business development through the successful extension of ongoing projects and writing winning proposals
Experience of working with clients face to face (preferably including on site experience)
For more senior roles experience of the following is desirable: - Chartered Engineering Status
Acknowledged consultancy skills; being able to communicate at all levels influence and guide decisions and solutions provide impartial advice in challenging client-facing and stakeholder environments - Able to robustly argue and present complex solutions and ideas
Detailed working knowledge of the Rail sector with preferably established and mature client relationships
Ability to identify and develop business opportunities
Representing group and company interests at client sites
