Job title: Sales Manager
Wage: 30k plus company pension and benefits
Responsible to: European Sales Director
Job Purpose: To Manage and lead a team in internal sales people. To run a sales administration team for the UK, liaising with UK sales Management team. Management of team to achieve accurate and timely sales administration for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead sales administration team
• Liaising directly with European Sales Director on targets and projects in Sales administration
• Ensure that communications and relationship with UK Sales team is well maintained
Tasks:
• Management of 3 Area Sales Coordinators who work as buddies to the Area Sales Managers. Tasks include, but are not restricted to, maintenance of attendance, performance and holidays.
• Motivate and manage team by regular communication and meetings – encouraging a positive and proactive attitude.
• Ensure that the team process all orders efficiently and accurately on the companies IT systems.
• Problem solve any issues bought by the team to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Achieve targets and goals set by European Sales Director.
• Undertake team projects such as outbound calling to existing customers on various promotions and cold calling projects.
• Discount control by monitoring and enforcement with sales staff.
• Incentivise customers to order greater volumes.
• Ensure that the team is fully trained in customer service and administration, offering coaching and training sessions when required – maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Handling of escalated queries from customers and suppliers from sales admin team.
• Liaising with technical support, sales and marketing when required for projects and problem solving queries.
• Liaise with Accounts Manager for any customer account queries.
• Identify areas for improvement in systems and procedures, manage and deliver improvement projects in sales administration under supervision of European Sales Director
• Ensure that all sales activities are properly recorded on the sales system – Goldmine.
• Ensure that reports are distributed and information kept up to date and sales team informed as business dictates.
• Maybe required to attain trade shows – weekend work expected.
