Lead Xbox360 Programmer – Leading Computer Games Developer, Midlands
£35k to £40k + Benefits
Computer Games! C++! Experienced Xbox360 Programmer urgently needed for development of established console franchise, backed by one of world’s most respected publishers. You will be responsible for contributing high quality of programming on specific projects, reporting to Lead Programmer/Technical Director, striving to improve programming skill level and implement ways to push technical features of projects. Key role will be design and implementation of Xbox360 rendering engine and asset pipeline.
You must also be able to work as part of team and take advice from other Programmers who may have more experience in certain areas of programming, in relation to video game development. You will work on many aspects of console development using existing sub-systems such as networking, rendering, physics and front-end user interface.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must possess high level of programming skills - crucial. You must have strong background in programming, ideally relating to video game development.
• Very strong C++ with exposure to Design Patterns, STL with solid engineering techniques.
• Experience with console development on Xbox360 specifically in area of rendering and asset pipelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and/or the resourcefulness to obtain solutions.
• Willing to learn and be open to new ideas. You must be adaptable and be able to pick up new skills quickly.
• Video game experience - playing games as well as programming games.
• Must have worked on at least one published title.
