Company Overview
Biduhappy.com is a new start-up business bringing a totally new online auction retail environment to the UK. Launching soon the Biduhappy.com portal will provide an online marketplace where consumers list items they wish to buy and the highest price they are willing to pay. Independent retailers around the country will then be able to underbid each other so that, when the auction is complete, the winning retailer is the one willing to sell the item to the consumer at the lowest possible price.

This concept is brand new within the UK and Biduhappy.com is currently putting the final touches to the online portal while undertaking comprehensive testing and pre-launch activities in time for a late summer “beta launch” within Scotland. There will then be a 2-3 month lead-up to a nationwide launch accompanied by high-profile advertising and marketing campaigns.

Specific duties

Our advisors will be expected to:
>Act as a first point of contact for all users of the site
>Check auctions created by our users, making sure quality and content conforms to our policy.
>Monitor site activity and promptly address any identified issues or problems
>Pro actively promote key messages, auctions successes, etc. via the Content Management System
>Respond to questions and concerns posed by site users
>Contribute to the improvement of the site by reviewing issues such as usability and performance.
>Search for and upload appropriate images for new content and/or best deals.
>Identify, develop and maintain social networking profiles to promote Biduhappy (e.g., Facebook, Twitter etc.)

Experience
The ideal candidate for the role will probably be from a call centre or help desk environment with prior experience of customer management, ideally involving services provided via the internet. They will possess initiative and have a “can do” attitude. They will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and show good attention to detail.

In particular, the ideal advisor would have:-
>Experience of providing quality levels of customer service to members of the public via phone and email
>Experience of website administration/configuration using a Content >Management System or similar
>Excellent verbal and written communication skills
>Hard working and willing to learn
>Team player, professional and detail-oriented.
>A can-do attitude with a willingness to do what it takes to help a start-up company succeed
